CSS Students' Work at Youth Art Month Exhibit Art students from Central Massachusetts have been selected to display their creative works at the Worcester Art Museum during the month of March. This multi-media exhibit is sponsored by the Massachusetts Art Education Association as part of Youth Art Month, a national celebration to emphasize the value of art education for all children and to encourage support for the quality art programs in Massachusetts' schools. The Youth Art Month Exhibit will be on display through the month of March. Art teachers from 35 cities and towns have volunteered their time to make this event possible. The students from Charlton Street School, under the direction of teacher, Kathleen Podles are representing the town of Southbridge in this year's Youth Art Month exhibit at the Worcester Art Museum. These young artists are: Najum Soofi, grade 3, Camille Anctil, grade 3, and Jeremy Peters, grade 3.

Charlton Street's Robin Family Mother Robin became a resident of Charlton St. School this spring. Her safe haven is in the school's courtyard. She created a beautiful nest which blossomed as time passed. She laid four eggs, kept them warm until hatching, and is now taking care of two of the birds while still waiting for the other two eggs to hatch. Read The Story of Robin Eggs to learn more about robins. |
